Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking an appointment or accessing services at Radiant Medical Aesthetics & Wellbeing, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with booking or treatment. These terms are subject to change at any time at our discretion, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
2. About Radiant Medical Aesthetics & Wellbeing
Radiant Medical Aesthetics & Wellbeing is an independent aesthetics clinic operated by Karen Kelly, Independent Nurse Prescriber (INP), with an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. Our clinic is based in Heathfield, Sussex. All treatments are administered by qualified practitioners in accordance with healthcare regulations and professional standards.
3. Consultation and Assessment
A comprehensive consultation is mandatory before any treatment. During your consultation, we will:
- Discuss your medical history, allergies, and current medications
- Assess your suitability for the proposed treatment
- Explain the procedure, expected results, risks, and complications
- Answer any questions you may have
- Obtain your informed consent in writing before proceeding
It is your responsibility to provide accurate and complete information during your consultation. Failure to disclose relevant medical information may affect treatment safety and results.
4. Eligibility and Contraindications
Certain medical conditions, medications, and circumstances may render you ineligible for specific treatments. These include but are not limited to:
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Active skin infections or severe acne
- Bleeding disorders or anticoagulant use
- Severe allergies to treatment components
- Certain autoimmune or neurological conditions
- Recent isotretinoin (Roaccutane) use
- Severe immunosuppression
We reserve the right to decline treatment if we assess that you are not a suitable candidate or if proceeding would pose an unreasonable risk to your health and safety.
5. Treatment Procedures and Aftercare
Our practitioners will follow clinical protocols to minimise risks during treatment. Following your procedure, you will receive detailed aftercare instructions, which you must follow carefully to optimise results and reduce complications. Failure to adhere to aftercare advice may compromise results and increase the risk of adverse effects. If you have any concerns during recovery, please contact us immediately.
6. Risks and Complications
While our practitioners use best practice techniques, all aesthetic treatments carry inherent risks. These may include but are not limited to:
- Bruising, swelling, and redness
- Temporary numbness or sensitivity
- Infection (though rare with proper aftercare)
- Allergic reactions
- Asymmetry or unsatisfactory results
- Vascular complications (e.g., vessel occlusion)
- Granulomas or nodule formation (dermal fillers)
- Nerve injury (rare)
- Systemic effects (rare)
Serious complications are uncommon when treatments are performed by qualified practitioners on suitable candidates. However, should complications arise, contact us or seek emergency medical attention immediately. See our Emergency Helpline page for 24/7 support for dermal filler-related concerns.
7. Appointment Booking and Cancellation
Booking: Appointments are confirmed via our online booking portal or by contacting us directly. A booking constitutes an agreement to pay for the service at the agreed time and price.
Cancellation Policy:
- More than 48 hours notice: Full refund (less any non-refundable deposit, if applicable)
- 24-48 hours notice: 50% of treatment cost will be charged
- Less than 24 hours notice or no-show: Full treatment cost will be charged
We reserve the right to cancel appointments due to emergencies, illness, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you will be offered an alternative appointment or a full refund.
8. Payment Terms
Payment must be made in full at the time of treatment unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance. We accept card payments and bank transfers via our secure payment processor. Prices are as listed on our website and price list and may be subject to change with notice. All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
9. Results and Expectations
Results vary from individual to individual and depend on numerous factors including skin type, age, health status, sun exposure, and aftercare compliance. We cannot guarantee specific results, and photographic outcomes are indicative only. Some treatments require multiple sessions or maintenance appointments to achieve and maintain optimal results. Results from certain treatments (e.g., dermal fillers) are temporary and will fade naturally over time.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Radiant Medical Aesthetics & Wellbeing, Karen Kelly, and our staff shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from treatment or use of our services
- Loss of income, opportunity, or anticipated benefit
- Emotional distress or reputational harm (except where caused by our gross negligence)
- Dissatisfaction with results where treatment was performed in accordance with professional standards
- Natural progression of skin ageing or fading of results over time
Our liability is limited to the cost of the treatment provided. We maintain professional indemnity insurance and comply with all relevant healthcare regulations and professional standards.
11. Professional Standards and Complaints
Our practitioners operate to the highest professional standards and are registered with relevant healthcare bodies. If you have a complaint regarding your treatment or care, please contact us in writing with details of your concern. We will investigate promptly and respond within 14 days. If you remain dissatisfied, you may escalate your complaint to relevant regulatory bodies or pursue alternative dispute resolution.

We may request permission to take before and after photographs of your treatment results for portfolio, training, or marketing purposes. Such photographs will be anonymised and used only with your explicit written consent. You have the right to refuse, and refusal will not affect your access to treatment.
